If you gonna upload shitloads of torrents you can buy a unlimited seedbox 100m up/down for $15 a month (hella cheap). plus if u dl to your box you can transfer it to wherever you are at full speed . not having to seed n shit from home... ever :)

You can grab a modem from anywhere online just has to be one of the supported models. So you can shop around even :) think brand new you can get one for under $60

Hmmmm their price and monthly bandwidth are better than Rogers, and I have no experience with it what so ever. They start offering cable like few months ago only.

i never understood the reason for people going to tekksavvy. all you're really doing is paying a third party for bell or rogers service. that's the whole reason they're cheaper; because they don't employ technicians to fix physical problems so basically if a rat chews through a line or any of a dozen other problems arise tekksavvy is powerless to fix it and the REAL providers won't get off their asses for the likes of a third party subscriber.

i'm with bell myself, i'm not gonna get all technical but my speeds are fast enough that i literally never actually pause to think my internet is slow. if shit is slow, it's always the server not my connection. 60 bucks might be a bit of a pill to swallow for the 100gb cap but it's peanuts for the peace of mind that comes with fast service that's been over 99% consistent for me.

but hey, if you'd rather save a few bucks and tear out a few more loose hairs with headaches, go ahead and call up tekksavvy i'm sure they need the business.

afaik, say for example your dsl line is slow and can only get 1.6mbps because bell has given priority to its customers on the closest remotes and you get stuck with one farther away, you are in this case S.O.L., and your only option is to cancel or move to the cheapest teksavvy plan ($25).

If you get the teksavvy phoneline which is via bell copper. Bell is required by law and compelled by stiff fines ($100s thousands range per day) to get your line problems resolved as fast as possible. you call teksavvy and tell them your phone line has static, bell will for sure be out the next day to inspect/repair the problem.
