Easiest way to help pick up the soon to be covering the entire lawn and house with leafs?

Neighbors next door refuse to cut down a tree that now provides some shade to us. That shade is dying.

you can be passive-aggressive and get a leaf blower to deposit the leaves on the neighbour's lawn, or you can set up a compost bin and stuff it with the leaves and have plenty of nutrient-rich soil to use in the spring

Theoretically speaking, wouldn't it be possible to burn the problem away? I mean, if you burn the leafs, the tree, and the grass, wouldn't you save a bunch of time not having to rake and mow all that shit?

I mean, probably save on fertilizer, gas, bags, and what not too y'know? I thought it was just snow and water up there in B.C.
