The majority of US states (if not all) have no-fault divorce rules so cheating has no real implication on divorce proceedings.

Generally speaking they tend to look at assets accumulated during the course of the marriage and split them evenly. Alimony as previously noted tends to come into play when one party gives up their career to manage the household (raise kids, etc).

Sorry, but if you cheat you're fucked in court. Case closed.

You watch too much TV. While 32 states still allow for fault based divorce, cheating rarely has an impact in the division of assets UNLESS assets were used to support the infidelity (because you used martial assets for purposes that were incompatible with the marriage). New York was actually the last state to allow no-fault divorces back in 2010 (I believe).

Use of fault based divorce tends to lean more towards instances of spousal abuse. Now prenuptial agreements with infidelity clauses that can influence division of assets as well.

First of all, you read too much into things. Better lawyer = winning <- FACT. Second, if you cheat on your spouse you will get raped in court if it comes down to it, otherwise most of the time it will be settled via settlement (agreement), where court is not needed.

Tell me more, faggot.
