How do you make a Steam Trading Bot?

Thanks Gatherix! You can private message me through Darkly or add me on Steam to tell me the details! Oh, and, reward for you too, since you were also big help. :)

Might not need the SteamBot anymore Gatherix , somebody was nice enough to send his copy of one. It is just a prototype, as he is new to the stuff too. Hope, fully, it works. :)

"Marketplace"
Implying the market, not trading. If it was trading too, wouldn't scrap.tf be down?

You should read the whole post, if not the whole topic. I said Marketplace for a reason, as did the SSA. It's pretty obvious that you can't automate the market, which is not what scrap.tf is doing. Gatherix has already posted the response from Steam Support (a rare sighting), and they unofficially allow the automation of trading.

My main point still stands though. It's Newb's account and he can do whatever he wants with it. He should just take into the considerable amount of things that Valve could do in response. As Gatherix has mentioned before in another thread, Valve can technically close your account for no reason. If you looked at a picture of Gaben and criticized the shirt he was wearing or hacked into the government's system, it doesn't matter. Valve owns your account. You're basically just borrowing it and customizing it.

I've already realized and acknowledged that I was wrong in my original, so I don't see the reasoning in you basically repeating what others have already asked.

Newb doesn't want to bot the market. He wants to do what Scrap.tf does, which is not against the SSA

Exactly. That's the entire point of this thread. You're the one who suggested we were talking about the Steam Market. I said that I was under the impression that trading fell under Subscription Marketplace service, an entirely different process than the Steam Market, which was made obvious to anyone who thoroughly read this topic.

If you want to ask questions, take a minute and read the whole thread. If you don't have time for that, that's fine. Just don't start asking questions, because they have most likely already been answered. Both "points" you have made have already been addressed and bringing them up again is wasting both of our time, plus the time of anyone reading this thread. Please show some courtesy before starting arbitrary arguments. Thank you.

Good news - I got the files. He is suuuuuuper nice!

Bad news - I don't know where to put my SteamAPI (But I do know how to get it), where to customize the currency, what types of items.. etc.., and I don't know where to start it.. :/ If anybody here knows how to do this stuff, please feel free to post in this thread.

Also, I don't know how to compile the files, because I don't know what compiling is... :feelscry: I only have the files. That is all. I just realized that the SteamAPI was different than what I was thinking of. So, again, if anybody can help, please post in the thread. Oh, and to the people I owe, rewards are coming up. :)

Not to revive this thread (And if I do "revive" this thread, I will not do it again), but I finally found a great friend to make me a bot for cheap. it is successful, but it's currently a prototype. I appreciate all the help guys, the reward is a scrap each. (I am so cheap lol) I will send a trade offer to those I owe.
