If you have d-link:

Open up internet browser, type this in address:

192.168.0.1

Username "Admin"

Password leave blank. Look around for port forwarding options (research before hand to know which ports for TCP and which ports for UDP you need to &quot:open" (allow through).

For Linksys:

Open internet browser, type this in address

192.168.1.1

Username "admin"

Password leave blank

Same deal, research ports before hand, look for the option, put 'em in.

Good luck!

The wireless router is what you need to find on that page not your modem. Try doing what Bj mentioned, should work.

Follow the instructions provided. The ports you need to open are:

7777 (TCP/UDP)
28900 (TCP)
27900 (UDP)
28910 (TCP)
28902 - not in the readme, but opening this port helped alot of people

Once you're done click each port to test if it's really forwarded. Bear in mind that sometimes it takes a minute for the router settings to apply (occasionally you'll even need to reset it before the settings take effect).

is that it?

As BJ said, you need to access your router settings, then there should be a tab for port forwarding....

That is superweak Spinny. Get a firmware update or something on your machine. I put all my ports in one line (comma delimited).

This link you posted has your step by step,

FYI: your wireless router is what needs to be configured not your comcast unit (motorola thing).

Figure out what company/model of your wireless router.
Then find the model number on http://portforward.com/
It will give you every step by step you need.

You're right. It's your router that's weak. I have a D-Link.

it doesnt get me anywhere without a password.

and, my router isnt even on the list, i have MR814v2 and they only have the MR814. so fuck, this is a lot more trouble that i thought it would be...

Username: Admin
Password: LEAVE BLANK

also try:

Username: Admin
Password: Admin

Username: leave blank
password: leave blank

Eiher the username or password could be incorrect and thus not allowing you entry. Google your router for access procedures...
