i only said my comment because at sony we fired 24 high level managers, the president, the vp, all of A&R. The US seems to be taking over the remaining physical staff. Canada is dying off, Warner and Universal both are suffering huge.

Glad to see you are sticking it out though, most of us at Sony bailed to join other industries to get paid.

Usually the first to go are the "big shots" because their is a reason they are going under. Whoever bought them out is going to want to replace the managers first and then weed out whoever doesn't fit.

Good luck anyway, but job market everywhere seems to be shrinking.

It's already being done. We had a meeting today and one of our biggest chairmen just left... She got paid out apparently. We're meeting with a few people from Universal tomorrow. I'll probably be jobless in about a couple of weeks.
*cue violins*
I'm not completely stressed out, I knew this job wouldn't last forever when I took it. I got some great experience and got to meet a lot of important/interesting people. It'd be nice, however, to find something to replace it immediately. I took on a small teaching gig as an emergency for funding reasons, but I can't support myself off of just that.
