hey ive been having gamma issues with cs lately, cant seem to brighten it up anymore without my whole desktop glowing and burning my eyes. someone gave me a command while playing and it worked but then it stopped, said there was a thread here but i didnt see one any help would be fantastic

Hey womb, that was me. I'm sure I've got a thread on it, but ill just tell you again lol

mat_monitorgamma 0.5

The higher the number, the darker it goes. 0.5 is the brightest.

Easy way is to add binds to your config (covered in my Optimization sticky in this section).

Bind f6 mat_monitorgamma 1.8
Bind f7 mat_monitorgamma 1.4
Bind f8 mat_monitorgamma 0.5

You can play around with the first two numbers n pick what you like. Once saved in your config, you can easily just hit whichever f-key to get the brightness you're looking for. Its great for going from a dark map like train, to a bright map like frost.

thanks, i found a script for it online somewhere where i can use my plus and minus keys to change it between a few thats been working for me so far
