I'm New Here
Hello to you today...here is my obligatory 'i'm new' post. I know what you're all thinking, and yes, it is my birthday today. So you can't say anything mean to me until tomorrow.

See you on the server,
Hyena

And Happy B-Day the both of you :D

Well, "hello world" is any languages usual starting point for any output commands/prints.

The web world kind of took it in as the starting header for an output.

Welcome to forums/servers Hyena.
If I've been impolite, annoying, obstinate, unhappy and ungrateful towards you,
I'm here to tell you that you're only going to get more of me the coming year.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday. :)

Word up! Welcome to TD, and happy birthday!

Yes, when programming any program for the first time (such as your first C program) it's tradition to create a "Hello World" program that outputs that phrase to the screen... kind of smashing a bottle of bubbly off a ship's bow (stern? I dunno..) on it's maiden voyage.
