Headset

My headset passed away today </3 Not sure how, but the left ear is almost completely broken off. I don't remember dropping it ._.

Anyway, I need a new headset, but I have no idea what one to get :L I don't need absurdly-expensive, theater-quality capabilities, but I would like it to be a good quality one.

Suggestions? :3

Both. I listen to music while I work, but I do my gaming as my break from work.

Ok, well, what kind of music quality were you used to, i.e. how much were you old headphones, and what's your rough budget/price-range?

I just put on music videos from YouTube in the background. Old headphones were a gift, so no idea. I'd put a cap on the headphones at $150

One more thing to note. I'm on my computer 8+ hours a day. I need one that can last.

These two come to mind, though I'm sure other people will offer better suggestions. I'm not an expert with headphones, plenty of people here know more than I do.

SteelSeries Siberia V2
Audio-Technica ATH-M50

The M50 will easily outclass the Siberia in terms of music quality, with the Siberia lacking a little bass and just simply not being designed for music. The M50 lags a bit in gaming though, due to a poor soundstage and the fact that they're closed headphones. The Siberia is wicked comfortable for headphones in this price range; you can wear it for hours and forget it's there. It also has a retractable mic, which sacrifices some mic quality (who cares) for the convenience of not having a giant microphone in your face when listening to music (though the M50 has no mic). The Siberia's music quality, while much less than the M50, will sound fine to you if you're not used to anything fancy, so if that applies if you factor in that they're $50 cheaper I'd recommended them over the M50. Only thing that makes be wary about it is that they don't fold or anything; they don't break easily since there isn't much on them to actually break (those top bars are metal), but transportation will be more difficult.

Personally, right now I'm using a Turtle Beach Z6A 2013. They have great sound for gaming and music. It's about $90 when I bought it, but I would recommend the Sennheiser PC 330 G4ME(About $110). I've looked them up for you, and they have some pretty good reviews. I happened to find a website with both headsets that I recommended here --->http://gaming-headsets-review.toptenreviews.com/
Check them out!

Finally found a good deal on an upgrade. New headset ordered and my activity should pick back up when it arrives, which will be within the week.
Pic for anyone who cares:
