Fight stats have it very close, which is why Hendricks should have finished it.

Stats wise GSP landed more significant strikes and both had 50% take down. Hendricks edged out GSP by like 10 strikes total. They don't count how much blood you lost or amount/size of bruises.

That said, all judges gave GSP the third and last rounds, and the second and fourth were all given to Hendricks.
The first was very close, as I was watching the fight, I try to score the round and I didn't know who to give the first to... not surprised at a split decision.
If a judge felt Hendricks deserved a 10-8 round and/or the first, he's the champ. GSP bleeds way to much (is it scar tissue from long battles since he doesn't finish so much?), disproportionately from the damage.

Not really, none of his fights were even close besides this one. Alves/Hardy/Fitch/Condit/Shields/Koscheck/Penn were all very one sided fights.
