You're fucking dumb, aren't you.

When and if I move, which will be done entirely based on need and not want, i will ultimately benefit from the market forces of our capitalist economy. However should my property be valued at the same amount as it did when i bought it, i would not feel sad or angry because i never bought it with intent to make money in the first place.

I won't go on to tell people how rich and awesome i am because i sold my property, nor will i feel satisfied in having received that money because i would know that i didn't do anything to deserve it.

I'm not against money ice, i love money, i would like more of it, but there is a difference between being humble and being a dick.

And you Sir are being a dick.

1. Why buy in the first place? The idea of buying a house is an investment, you would like to make money on your investment don't you? (this right here along with your quote makes you dumb not me, since you contradict yourself.)

2. Now you say you will not feel satisfied with making a profit because you did nothing to deserve it. Yet you love money and want more? Can you make up your mind.

To top it off you did do something. YOU INVESTED MONEY BUY PURCHASING PROPERTY!

Are you that naive or do you just post to make yourself sound stupid. (O the Ironing)

WHY DID I BUY A HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE?

:brains:

Making money from money, collectables, and flipping shit is the lowest form of income, in fact I personally do not consider these "jobs" and in reality these activities share a lot with GAMBLING.

Fork you need to move to North Korea. They'll just give you land and farm it to be self-sustainable but if you make any money you have to share with everyone else.

And yes you're right. Putting money aside and investing is something such as cards, gold, silver, houses, stocks, land, businesses, Etc... And hoping that it's value goes up over time is just plain stupid. Fork you must not even have a bank account because if you do you a hypocrite, because I do believe you are getting nominal interest rate on that account and that's making money on money.

Yes Clinton is in-part to blame for the housing bubble but i think that responsibility lies with the banks also. They over leveraged and got their asses handed to them. Now they have to write off all those shitty loans and re-balance their budget.

WTF does this even mean? :wtfreading:

You're using an extreme case. The government of Canada takes 40% of your money and yet doesn't guarantee you housing or food. Hell if you really think about it a chance at self-sustained living and having your own fucking farm for the price of the government getting money which they then use to fund schools, hospitals and social development. Not so bad if you ask me.

Aside from my property I do not have SAVINGS (like many people in north America). If you have money to put away you're already ahead of a lot of people.

This is true, but don't tell iCe that.

Why do you need a house? You can rent and live fine. Back in the old days people thought you had to buy a house or else your life is a failure.
Buying a house is an investment... Plain and simple. You buy a house in hopes of one day selling it and making money to help with retirement.

Buying real-estate is a large but low risk investment. There is definitely some risk though... Just ask people in Nevada, Arizona and Florida.

And the problem wasn't people buying houses to flip and make profit. The problem is the insane amount of credit being handed out to people that should not have it.
People buying a $500,000 house because the bank gives them the money when really they should be buying a $200,000 house. Then what do they do when they move in to their nice big house? Buy new toys such as cars, boats, tv's etc. all on credit.

don't be a troll, there are many limitations when it comes to renting. You might have a contract agreement for a year then when it's up you get kicked out. There is limited upgrading that you can do. Long term cost of renting is higher than ownership. Esp when you factor in a life longer than your own, don't you want to leave something for your kids so they have a better life than you did?

Keep in mind i am not against wealth, all my arguments are revolved around wealth distribution, and this thread in particular went into a discussion of what Clinton supposedly did.
