Anyone Got it?
thoughts?

i think they have been trying too hard in the recent games, i wish they would go back to Turn Based combat, it was simple and more fun then what they got now. Also the story lines were much easier to follow, now there is Fal'cie and l'cie and cie'th and all that shit sometimes is hard to keep track of what is what, i only really understood the story when i went into the Datalogue to get a grasp of what was happening, they never needed that in the old games. Im only about 3 hours into the game right now so im hoping it gets more exciting then this, im not really enjoying the combat system at the moment.

i heard it starts to get good once your 30 hours into the game. 30 flippin hours!??
Shite how they dont have towns and side-quests any more. Let us know how it goes, and i'll consider getting it.

yeah thats the other thing that caught me off guard, you cant build your party anymore, now the party members you have are given you you depending on what part of the story your at.
kinda hate to say it, but i havent enjoyed one game since
"Square Soft" became "Square Enix"

im about 5 hours into the game and im STILL getting tutorials for new shit in the combat system...its fucked.

Guess they made it so it's noobie friendly XD, and I remember seeing that, you won't be able to use the full function of the game till you beat the last boss.

Yeah I got it Iseize, it's pretty good... tutorials for like the first 10 hours lol... im like 13 hours in, starting to pick up... im enjoying it though, its all about switching in and out of the different paradigms.

Of course its 30-hours because you gotta go through 4 menus to take a sword out, listen to 3 1/2 minutes of dialogue about why you pulled your sword out, then go through 6 menus to strike ONCE - then listen to another 7 minutes of dialogue about why you struck and what's going to happen next.

WEAK.

WoW sucks though. It's the biggest noob haven of any MMO out there. It's a joke as far as MMO goes. Wasn't always the case but it has been going down that path for a while now, and in the last 2 years it's just become commercialized garbage for anyone who hasn't ever really played an RPG. Even more so is how much instant gratification the game promotes. I mean RPG means you will have to work your ass off to get your awesome gear, don't expect to have it just handed to you. I can say that as a long time MMO player and a player of WoW for nearly 5 years. No offense to newer players to the genre, but WoW does exactly what an RPG should not do: turning the word "Epic" into an oxymoron...

BIOP, I agree with you, FF 7 was the best one developed in the last 12 or so years. I wasted so much time trying to breed that freggin black chocobo.... I am interested in trying the mmo when it comes out though :P

been there, done that. I played WoW at launch and raided vanilla WoW up to AQ40, I know how the game has declined. It is much easier, and quicker now. Which I am fine with. I don't want to put that much effort into this game anyways, I just want to gank on my rogue.

That's exactly what WoW has become, a gankfest. And I raided through Vanilla, BC and WotLK. Gave account away, burnt cds, no more!

FF XII was really well done. I have FF XIII but I haven't played it yet :/ I will probably tomorrow. My friends have started it and they said 7hours in, it's still in "tutorial" mode.

the tutorials occur once and a while... but yeah you can expect to have them for the first 10-15 hours... fight 10 packs of guys, another tutorial, etc.... they just bring it in slow... espcially for the eidolons and shit
