Romney wants to cut funding to FEMA, saying that something like that is best left to the private sector.

Tell me, what private sector would be willing to fund a complete hole of a project with an infinitely negative return on investment and have the infrastructure to organize nation-wide relief efforts?

No one.

The government's job is to take your hard earned money and fund social services that help keep social order afloat, so all these people without a home can have a place to stay and not be forced to rob your white ass for the necessities.

FEMA did a great job in New Orleans :yaoming: or how about the staged press conference in California? Romney wants states to handle disaster relief with the help of private organizations which makes sense. The American Red Cross is private and they run much more efficiently than FEMA ever will.

Rommey isn't the solution, he's the problem.

Without government funding, I do believe these agencies will cease to exist, and those victims, such as the ones of the most recent hurricane, will receive a "shit happens" instead of actual relief.

As for conspiracy, I thought it was a comparison of how they're handling the situation is similar to the United Nations handling Rwanda...agh, where'd I leave that link....:wtf:

Fact was first-world nations couldn't give a fuck bout ethnic genocide in considered butt-fuck corner of Africa with no resources. UN and forces (US, Canada, Belgium, France) pledging support to end the violence didn't do shit because their governments didn't believe risking one of their soldiers lives to save the lives of a few hundred thousand Africans.
