Drinks are more than just alcohol and water. If you had ever distilled your own spirits you'd understand how profound the impact of changing methods or materials can be on the end product. I've had 20% ABV drinks that gave me the worst hangover ever, conversely also had some 150 proof shit that would take the paint off walls and woke up the day after feelin great.

I usually have 2 bottles of gatorade/powerade by my bed when I drink hard so that when I get up I rehydrate myself n restore electrolytes. A doob helps too.

dehydration and depletion of liver enzymes to break down alcohol are not the only causes of a hangover. water only helps dehydration.

Congeners are the by-products of the process of alcohol fermentation and exaggerate the symptoms of a hangover. The more congeners consumed, the worse a hangover is likely to be. Dark spirits such as brandy, whiskey and red wine contain more congeners than lighter spirits like vodka and white wine. Likewise cheaper spirits have had fewer of these impurities removed and are more likely to cause a hangover.

I think you're missing my point... You'll still get a hangover when drinking in excess, regardless of the liquor quality. I'll stick to my pitcher of jizz. No hangover there.
