As most of you may have heard by now, Haiti's capital has been literally destroyed by a 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday night. 2 million people have been affected by the earthquake, and tens of thousands are feared dead.
Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere: they do not have the resources, the logistics and the man power to handle such level of devastation.
Thousands of people are trapped under piles of rubble around the capital. Most multistory buildings collapsed and people are trapped with no-one coming to their rescue.
I have lost friends and so far one family member, and the death toll just keeps on rising. But thankfully, most of my family is ok.
Many countries are sending supplies and rescue teams to help with the rescue efforts.
Please help in any way you can, the Haitian people are in desperate need right now.
Here is how you can help:
Text "Haiti" to 90999 and donate $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief
or
Text “HAITI” to "20222" and $10 will be given to the Clinton Foundation's Haiti Relief Fund
or
Text ''YELE'' to 501501 and donate $5 to Haiti from the Wyclef Jean foundation
I cannot stress how devastating the situation is in Port-au-Prince right now....They need all the help they can get....
