You are all entitled to your opinion, but at the end of the day, you have a right to express your opinion with your vote. If you don't like the guy, don't vote for him. Your arguments for or against any politician, no matter how ignorant or educated, rational or irrational, do not change your value in the democratic process. One person, one vote.
so the other day you say how none of us has any power and that we're all on a desert island waiting for our turn to die
and now we all have the power and that we should all vote?
make up your mind, it's hard to take you seriously.
In that video Ford hints a few times about having a drinking problem. I'm thinking he may attempt to use the "altered state of mind" to defend himself.
"I was too loaded to know what I was doing was wrong, I was in a dream world"
I'm curious to see how this plays out.
but what more could I do about it other than not vote for him?
No Fork, this is about you being an asshole and DEMANDING that I defend myself to you.this is about you defending your opinions
Dude's in denial. ... Mother fuckers are surrounding the guy like vultures waiting to tear him to shreds and devour him. Fucking scavengers and bottom feeders if you ask me, looking to profit from another man's illnesses and defects of character.
What a world.
As much as I believe everyone has a right to privacy when you're in a position such as "mayor" you have to expect that EVERYTHING you do will be monitored by the media, and yeah they are like vultures. That would be why you should be as straight as an arrow if you're going to be the mayor..
It looks as though the pissing match has started .
...so while you're right that political figures need to understand that they will be under scrutiny, i think it's just as fair to say that the media needs to understand that Rob Ford seems to be the type of guy that doesn't give a fuck about that shit...
I'm not entirely sure they're trying to get under Fords skin or rattle him or anything like that. The public appears to be pushing for the coverage, we're on the radar across the globe now with this story.
Who doesn't want to know what really happened? Who doesn't want to see the video? Substance abuse is always big deal when its a politician.
Kind of want to try smoking crack now.
Quite honestly the stuff currently going on in Quebec/Montreal/Laval is far more serious that our mayor doing drugs, no troll.
it's a big deal for the entertainment industry, but the reality is that many people have some form of substance abuse, some legal, some not, and at the end of the day they are judged by the work they do... or should be anyway... and again the discussion of whether ford is doing the right work is for a diffrent thread.
