I don't think so. People are just excited at the thought of 'more', but we've tried it, gungame etc. Shit was just more work for our guys to setup. It's fun for a bit, then dies out..TD probably wouldn't use it, yeah, but the regs?

I know that ABM has a 128 tick classic casual server running in addition to a 128 tick, 16 player DM server. I'm not sure how they're running things on their end, but both servers run extremely well, from what little I've played on them. The thing that I don't like about their DM server, though, is that they only play fy_ and aim maps. fy_iceworld is fun sometimes, but I like to play other types of maps, too.

well honestly gungame is just an extension to CS:GO, like garry's mod is to TF2. deathmatch isn't however; it's a way to train and let COD players have their fun. you can select your weapons which makes it much easier for people to train as well. i know for sure that most of the pros on the TD server (peter pan, tytanium, etc.) use deathmatch to practice, so if there was a DARKLY deathmatch server it would provide a server for these sorts of people to play, which would in turn draw in more people wanting to become like those i listed above.
deathmatch isn't the same as gungame though. gungame is a game, whereas deathmatch is actual CS:GO but with respawns and custom weps. it might die out after a bit but if we continue to draw in new people using advertisements on the no awp server it shouldn't be very hard to keep it alive.

Lag on the server is not caused by the load on the server. It's either game related or host related. But the box itself is powerful and isn't overloaded.

I think we should look to see if there exists a deathmatch community. The only benefit to us would be players we don't already have, coming in to our community to help donate and play. If we're just intending to extend our current gamer base over another server, I don't see it viable and unnecessary. That's where I stand.
Low Budget - for sure, bandwidth is my concern, not our box. From what I remember, it's a bloody beast! It's tough to manage bandwidth as it's out of our hands, and it varies...

ABM, VPP, TimetoKill, and HellsGamers all have thriving DM servers, off the top of my head.
shoottomaim, yeah, I have no interest in GG, and I think that I can safely speak for PETER PAN and others in saying that they wouldn't either. I'd be very surprised if I was wrong here. We'd just need to give the DM server time to grow.

HG is a big community that only had two servers, JB and DM. Also, I always find ABM and HG DM servers populated, so I wouldn't worry if you're wondering if anyone will play it or not.
