Noice! I'll try to be online this Sunday. What time are you going to run this beta?

Probably just going right on steam workshop after I get it ready for the official beta version. I'll still be looking for suggestions and tweaks during this time it's on the workshop, but it needs to be played. It was suppose to be shipped out today, but I am a bit behind schedule, life and what not, maybe Sunday or Monday if I can get the time to finish it that early.


Might bug one of you to go over it one last time to check for errors that I might not experience. Aphy already tried to test a version of it for me and had it crash multiple times on her. Sigh.

Aphy's computer is probably infected with Trojans from all that male porn, ask another person to check if they get the same issues.

@MagictheFriendshiping played it offline today and he had no problems. I think it has to do with all that male porn @miss. aPHy. [s2]™ .

No crashing from me either. Aside from missing textures, the only thing I've found was this:

I forgot to mention it in our conversation but there was one crash I experienced when I tried adding a few bots to the map or if I started the map with bots selected. Though this seems to be related to a script being written for the bots (at least that what the window that appeared on screen seemed to be indicating before my client crashed)

otherwise everything was running pretty smooth.

I also found a few places where bomb could be tossed out of reach, should I put screen shots here or just explain them to roland to show on sunday?

Side note, Whaleman is planting the bomb on top of the box in B and on top of the servers in A intended?

During one of the betas he mentioned that he was going to close off the gap on the top of the servers. Otherwise he said something along the lines of "if they've got enough balls to plant it there, go for it".

Aphy got a version of the map non of you got, a more completed map. I think I know what the issue was. When you make a map and populate it with bots for the first time your computer has to write a file to tell the bots what is possible, stuff like, plant sites, sniper spots, corners to hide in, ect. It is known to crash at this moment, magic was referring to this.

I might get one more final beta test in on an unknown date before I add it to the steam workshop. During this test I'll be looking for people to break the map, any boost spots, bomb drops, ect. I'll just message who ever is on that day.

Also yes, if you want to plant on top of the box doit, I highly enjoy the risk/reward factor, inspired from this communities favorite map Egon World, where you can plant on everything.

@MagictheFriendshiping if you find any bomb tossing spots I would like to know about them, but wait till I private release this final version because I might have already fixed a few of them. I don't think you're on my steam, add me if you'd like to show me.

Yup that was the crash I experienced as well when starting the map with bots or adding them afterwords (at least with the forum beta)

I have the bomb toss spots on screenshot so I'll link them to you via steam, just cuase why not right?

This is called a navmesh. This tells the bots where they can go and helps then calculate how to play. This is also how you label parts of the map so they show up on radar (i.e. "Long A", "courtyard" etc.). The list of available labels is limited and you must use the pre-defined labels for it to work.

If you do not generate this navmesh, the bots will be useless. You create it by loading the map by yourself, no bots, and entering a few cheat commands in console and it will chop the map up by the size of the textures you've used. You then look at sections and enter labels as you go, until you're done.

Lastly, you should be packing the map with the navmesh with something like pakrat (not a real paki, it's a tool) or bspzip. You should also be generating a tar file to tell the unzipper where this file goes.
