im not an advocate of that roof but i thought it was a smart move to leave the layout untouched. keep the roof, and everything else, the same.

leave the roof, ct's need the extra spot on that. dont change the gameplay of an epic map.

When ever im a t and get the bomb im going up there to camp just to be a fucktard :tongue:. Maybe you should get rid of dark room or at least add a strobe light to it...:nerd:(or get skill:lol:), and after all it sounds like he's re-making inferno since people bitch.

egon is already t sided (inless the t's are retards) the roof open just make's it so the t's can hold either bomb site with ease( and so there's less of a chance for t's planting on the double stacked boxes making it nearly impossible for any ct to defuse.. almost the opposite of defusing underground on mill) no roof means t's have to hold the ct spawn area on the ground and ct's have a better chance of defusing then the death trap that it is.. but what do I know about map balance ...

-Green roof is easily covered by a T across the bridge or the alt-ramp(ramp on right side of T spawn).
-does not give CT's and unfair advantage even if ladder is the only way to get on it
*T's can jump down to ladder easily, and do
*If CTs commit to many to roof, they lose to B plants all day long - so you see, roof does NOT imbalance this map.
*gayroof also serves as a check/balance for T's camping ramp all day long, like they did before people knew about rooftop. It actually serves to balance the control of upper. CT's cannot cover upper as well from their side as T's can from theirs.

Just because you get SOOOO butthurt over such a little thing does not mean you should take that as your right to mod it out of a classic map thats been played as is on TD for years.


Maybe I should mod Dark room out of kismayo, since I hate that shit. I mean its not fair and CT's cant get to it - so it should be boarded up amirite?

Quite frankly what you are proposing will kill the only map I like on TD, and will ruin CS:S for me. I live for Egon. Its been my baby since the first map/day I EVER connected to TD.

I'm not butthurt at all, and will definitely leave all shit people want, after all my goal is to not change the map at all, rather just make the radar and leave it playable as is. I meant to only suggest what I should do and await feedback from people. Sorry it really did look like I was just deciding for everyone :(

Double box plant is the easiest shit in the world to cover. You can blast the planter from cover from multiple locations: little A site nook-in-the-ground, spawn corner(Salvador u bastard!!!), CT tower window, CT tower top side, CT underpass, and more. It also only takes 3 seconds to jump from ground to box top in that bomb site. The problem isnt with box spot, the problem is that CT's usually have to rotate from far the fuck away places back to that spawn site to defuse anyways.

I would say remove the corner-edge that players jump on to get to the invisible wall jump.

The day tytanium was doing it full blown rushing with an AK it absolutely imbalanced the map.

Ok, I'll cap it up. So the only access to gay roof will be the ladder.

I will get this FULLY done tonight (with all fixes iSeize brought to my attention) etc. and repost so we can finally upload and play :D

lol egon has reduced me to squatting spawn it's the only way i can get kills and simultaneously apply teh goldbond. i love maps scaled vertically but egon is getting mad old. wanda was crazy fun, all that rooftop action reminded me of 007. but yeah, egon could use some kind of change that alters the dynamics of the map to make it feel fresh again cuz the way it is now it feels too much like king of the hill where everyone is either fighting for the skywalk or shooting at people on it.

personally, i fucking hate the skywalk because going there means having to fight for it against Ts who have the luxury of just popping their head up because of the ramp and not going there means having to shoot at Ts who make it across and start shooting from above on the CT side. The dynamics of the map are fucked because the CTs have the clear advantage for protecting the sites and yet Ts win most of the time because they can force a quickplant by taking the top just like they do in piranesi which everyone now hates.

piranesi is my favourite map. it has its problems, but an organized ct team can still own it. egon is balanced, but so many people get stuck playing it the same way over and over again. there are so many different ways to go, making it one of the best 32-man maps out there.

BJ can't wait to play it cleaned up :D.

Stop changing Egon... the map is fine. Everyone complains about roof, well go T and stop them from going roof ( all you have to do is rush them and drop down). Lets take away all boxes and walls from every map so we can see everyone and its much more noob friendly (very sarcastic comment).

Bj not saying your work isnt appreciated, but its not like we are chaning spawn points we are changing the skill level of the map. Game is about stratedgy

It's on server, but not in list yet. How are the spawns?
I made spawns a plenty and gloriously spaced out. It's the best possible chance we have at winning this gay, little war. As for the radar, sexy? Other than that, stock egon mang.

EDIT: take out original, no sense in playing the same map, just with no radar.

EDIT2: Don't I sound like a cocksucker... I'd suggest taking out the original to make sure the _td downloads well and gets played, please. No sense playing the same map without a radar.
