So yesterday out of nowhere CSS started messing up my sound. Basically, the second I enter a game my mic cuts out and my external speakers stop working. I can still get sound, but only from the laptop. I have to restart the compiuter for the audio output jack to work again. Any thoughts?

Tried that link before but doesn't help. My settings are already set to "do nothing"

Id say keep an eye out on " http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=37 " in the meantime. If anyone finds a fix its sure to be posted there.

P-Stephenson, let me get this straight. You have speakers hooked up to your laptop (instead of using the laptop's built-in speakers). So once you join css, the sound cuts from the better, external speakers, and reverts to your built-in laptop speakers, correct?
If so, once you join css, you gotta hit your window key, and check the sound output in control panel. Perhaps the sound driver is letting your laptop revert the output, aka have a program take control of the driver. Check the options, I'll post a screenshot tomorrow.
