CS:S 2

Does anyone know if there is a CS:S 2 in the works or do you guys fantacize over an upgraded version of CS:S?

i'd say its a long time coming.
they're focusing on making the half-life: episodes right now. thier less expensive then producing an entirely new game and just as many people buy them, so they're using that as thier crutch to put off creating a new game engine.

How are the Half Life episodes? I've heard mixed reviews on them and that they don't take long to run through start to finish. Half-Life III would be sick.

The episodes are fun, and they are relatively short. You'll end up playing them more than once (not in a row, but over time). I have played half-life 2 and the two episodes twice so far (ep.1 three times) , and will probably do so again in the near future. Great story, and lots of nice looking scenes if you have the graphics cards for it.

It would be foolish for valve to not release another counterstrike. It has an incredibly strong brand.

the episodes would have been god if they released them like they said they would, they should be like 30 min of gameplay, and be released every 2 months or sumthin.

I don't think they will for a while. CS:S is pretty much classic and with other games coming out all the time, everyone will always go back to source.

Have any of you actually gone back to play regular Counter-Strike (1.6)? It's really just an eye-sore. I can't believe I devoted 4 years of my life to an eye-sore.

But look at the quality of games, no denying it. I read an interview with valve rep and It looks like a new engine will be released with next half life. It'll be a full blow sequel. Prolly jus talk tho I only watch the reading rainbow with Levar Burton.
