im useing an AMD x4 Black edition no overclocked and the stock cooling unit. the problem im haveing is cores 1 ,2 and 4 are running at full 3.4 ghz idle at 29C full load temp at 45-55C but core 3 is also running at 3.4 ghs so i know i didnt bend a pin installing it but its running at 83C idle.

ive reaplyed conductive gell to my CPU and cooler to increase the cooling and that got it down to around 75C idle i want to know what my options are for getting this thing to where it should be temp wise,

speedfan dead mike recomended it a few threads down. think it could be a bad readout? i should try a different program when i get home

Depends on your chip and core, but 83C idle seems a bit excessive. I don't overclock my shit, but when I did, I'd reapply the gel every so often.

But seriously, check your manufacture stats on the chip and core, it might me nominal.

I'd boot into bios and find the CPU temp in there (it's somewhere)
Ive had speedfan fuck up readings before it's pretty common.

Also even tho is says "core3" it might be your GPU
id double check what sensor it's using.

ya im not really sure how to use it il check it when i get home and leroy manufacturer spec say it should be between 25-30 like cores 1 2 4 are at il look at what sesor and check it in bios i think i know where it is

well if its spec'd for 30C, and its running at 80C then you're on borrowed time my friend. I'd crank your fan out to 100%, clean out all the dust (seriously important) and pray to the gods it gets you to the end of the map ;)

lol its a new build so im not all that worried about it burring out quite yet and i barly have my computer on anymore. hopefully its what cock sugested and the sensors are just misslabled. wich seems like it might be it i just looked up what my gpu should be sitting at and it should be at 80-85 and it consistently tells me my gpu is at 30 wich is right around where the core should be so im thinking it might be that.

That's a Speedfan error, 100%. To rule it quickly (without doing any serious work like "finding out what sensor core3 is using - God knows) just download CoreTemp - and MAKE SURE you download a 32-bit version for a 32-bit OS and a 64-bit version for a 64-bit OS.
