**Concerning Marine Revenge as a ringer**

***Apologies for ruining Team Hoob's thread***​

So, lets re-state the issue.

My opinion is that Marine Revenge (being a great player) would be an unfair advantage to hoobs team as it is no secret that he is a lot better than iCe and if you were to pick teams again he would have been picked up A LOT sooner.

IMO! MR is not incredibly better than ice. Either way, he was the first ringer to sign up, if you guys want to choose a different ringer for my team "in terms of fairness"

There is clearly a fault here in this tourney. What should happen next time is that team captains should not pick 4 players for their team, but 5. This way, as a captain I would be picking 4 main players (starters) and 1 ringer. This would remove the whole argument about "global" ringers and their skill level. So the way this would be resolved that if one of the captain's starters didn't show, they immediately know who to talk to. They still have one player on the sidelines.

This seems like the solution here. In the case stated above, you guys do what you please with the ringer situation. It's just a fun tourney! Spinny's team will be out soon anyhoo

The way the sign ups turned out, it just so happened that MR was the first ringer. You can't exclude the guy just because he is good. However, just because Hoob's team announced early that one of their players can't make it shouldn't mean they have dibs on MR. Say 1 person from Spinny's team doesn't show, then it should be a name from a hat to see who gets the first ringer on the list and so forth. Otherwise it's stacking. However if Spinny's full team shows and and only 4 from other team show up, then yes they should get the first ringer on the list (which in this case is MR).

Marine was the first person to ask to be a ringer, so he will be the first ringer. iCe however won't be allowed in Tourney's until he fixes his shit. Its a waste of all of ours time.

Giving Hoobs team MR does not change the team balance as much as you are making it out to be. There must be a Favorite/Underdog.

That's fine, but in a 2 game tourney no one wants to be the bench warmer.

Future stuff we can for sure. I was thinking about setting up a 5-6 team round robin tourney(after this one) that would run on 2 consecutive Thursdays.

Frankly, i dont think it should be determined on a first come first serve bases. MR being the first person to sign up as a ringer or what not should not matter at all. All it means is he saw that thread before the others. Nothing more nothing less.

Edit: And for a "fun" tourney, giving a team a huge disadvantage isnt exactly making it fair for the others. Regardless of what gets decided lets not make this a bigger deal than what it has already become, its supposed to be for fun so lets just leave it at that.

Not everything can be equal. Some tourneys you will be on a uber team, some not.

No sport is perfectly even, neither is any game.

And for the record, MR hasn't played CSS for like 2 months. So he's probably not going to play well anyhow. That fucker takes like 2 weeks to get warmed up after a break like this. He'll be about on par with me.

I'm highly impressed by the teamwork I've seen from people that are scriming from a community instead of just irc randoms.

And calling anyone a ringer always means some one has to be told they cant play (if there are too many people).

Yeah. I'm rusty.. i'll be practicing to get back in the groove for this though, but i doubt i'll be at the top of my game however you want to look at it.

if I can voice an opinion.. i'd like to play with narf/auron/hoob.. purely because I have scrimmed with them on my own time before.. I'm comfortable with that set of players, skill sets aside, purely for communication.
