Is it the same as American music? Or something? I dunno. Just post me some beasting Canadian songs. Or songs from your country.

Well...not really sure how to respond to this...it's generally similar.

Canadian "artists" get (for lack of a better word) inspiration from American "artists", who occasionally also derive inspiration from Canadian music. Note the occasionally. For example, maybe American drummers idolized Neil Peart, while he, in his time, idolized several American drummers. Honestly, it's one border. It won't really make as much of a huge difference, although there would be fewer musicians to actually make this music.

Well, we get all the music America gets. But America tends to not get anything good from us. You've probably heard Nickelback. Everyone respectable here hates them.

I mean it really depends what you're into but I suppose I'd recommend checking out:

The Tragically Hip
Rural Alberta Advantage
Neil Young
54-40
The Bulletproof Tiger
Matthew Good Band
The Gandharvas
Broken Social Scene
Bachman Turner Overdrive
People In Planes
Attack In Black
Alexisonfire (debated putting this on here, but hey, you might like it. who knows)
Shad K

There's definitely a bunch that I haven't listed that would be worth hearing. I suppose if you're after a certain genre you could just google
"Canadian (insert genre) bands"

Kinda baffles by this since I'm sure once you read the names I've listen below, you'll realise you've already heard these Canadian artists...

Celine Dion
Avril Lavigne
Three Days Grace
Billy Talent
Sum 41
Theory of a Deadman
Hedley
Lights
Rush
Stereos
Ill Scarlett
Down With Webster

I mean, I could keep going, but I think you get the point.

I know we get a lot of American/Canadian music over here in Britain, and you guys get a lot of British music.
But I bet there are artists here that you haven't heard of over there, and vice versa.

Typical fuckin American...

Scumbag American goes onto gameshow, gets asked, "What's this country, to the north of the United States?"
Scumbag American answers, "Uhh, *fart*, Mexico?"
