What price are you lookin for Mac wise?

And the ati4200 is pretty decent. Just stay away from any intel graphic cards.

well if i were to get a mac, i'd get the macbook pro and a good one is around $2500

for 2500 u can have a god tier hacintosh holy fuck...

i dont see the big deal of picking a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, they kill the battery fuckin quick, i got intel x4500mhd or some shit, no kidding it is not good for games, but one thing i never have to do is bring a charger with me to school, that adds a whole next pound and uses a ton of carrying space.

tt i would say has a justified reason for a gaming laptop, but they are bang for the buck a ripoff. probably even that nvidia 330 won't be able to play cs source at any decent fps, also the lcd will probably be shit for games. get the laptop for more practical things like posting on forums and writing essays play games on your desktop or console.

Fair enough dead mike, TTwP, and all, BUT:

- She's lookin to spend no more than $900
- WANTS to run CSS on it
- Can't afford Mac (Mac's can't play games anyway)

-> For LESS than $900, you get it all, in a 15.6" (which isn't big at all)
- has LED screen, not LCD ->much better
- Core i3 ->faster, more efficient, more battery life than C2D
- Nvidia 310M is way better than my laptop's Nvidia 8600M GT 512MB, and my laptop runs css @ 100fps using directx 8.

So what's the scoop? For the money, that's a BOMB laptop!

for $900, you can get a sick laptop, 14.1" with a DIRTY vid card and processor!

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/prod...spx?path=49dda41651528d14ace910235c80de70en02

- Core i3 330M Hyper-threaded Core 2 Duo (Quad-core, kinda)
- 4GB Ram
- 500GB Hard drive
- 512MB dedicated nVidia GeForce 310M (WOOOOW!)
- Lots of USB's, inputs/outputs
- HDMI output (to hook up digital video/sound to big screen tv with one cable)

This bitch is LOADED, and for a good price. Come see me @ FutureShop and I'll give you a cheap-as-shit warranty for it too.

HOLLA.

EDIT: Oh, did I mention this bitch is a NICE dark red that's sleek-as fuck, even for guys?

Ya mon, that one's better for sure. The only reason I picked the HP for Mandy was because it's 14.1" (she wanted something smaller). For you, if you don't mind size, that Gateway 5909H is bomb-diggity.

That's an amazing price, I'll agree but even though my budget is $900, I'm still planning on using that money for other things which is why i'm happy with the one I've listed. It's shit compared to what you've suggested bj, but it'll do for now. I appriciate it but I do need some cash to start building up in the Greece/Germany/Spain fund for October :P

Plus my mom is an HP employee so she gets a decent discount on it. I only need the laptop for writing and school. I just thought I could get away with throwing cs on it too. Bah.
