employment insurance is a set deduction, a maximum of 752 dollars (or there abouts, i'll update this post with more accurate info when i get into work) from everyone.
most people end up paying up to that maximum during the year, i think the math is something like if you make over 28K you get hit with full EI.
so i contribute as much as you do, only i have to jump through hoops to get that shit if i ever get the boot, and even then there is a limit on to how much i can get.
if you're telling me that UNIONS are forcing you to drain the government emergency fund when you could, if you wanted to, find something else to do in the meantime, thats just downright backwards!
