Unfortunate to hear dude but fork is right sometimes its better to just take a shitt job then not be working at all.
This summer i doubt ill find a decent job at a financial institute like i planned but if all else fails ill most likely get back my shitt job working at some no frills.

Well I was a union carpenter so if i just go get any job available I would make less money then I do on unemployment.
The 2 guys I supervise just got let go today. I've been their supervisor since I started there 4.8 y.o. I was told yesterday about it and really love those guys and couldn't say anything. To make matters worse, now the Relay Test Lab has 1 member left...me, so my work load just went up by a factor of 3.
I'm still in shock.

I'm not really a Scotch/whiskey person...I'm not a vodka person either (bad initial experience, although people tell me I *have* to try Grey Goose...), I'm a tequila person.
I work for an animation studio right now and in the industry there's a lot of (temp.) layoffs, hiring, and re-hiring. I'm lucky in the sense that the systems team is one of the few *real* FT teams at work.
F U ECONOMY!!!! F U!!!! Let's hope that over the next few years, things will improve. A lot.

As long as my company is around, I'm around. Thank god for small software companies. I'm the head programmer on one of our two products, and until six months ago I was the only programmer on it. Now I'm training another dude and he's working under me. Never divulge all of the secrets though... gotta make sure that they know if they me go they're going to have to spend a lot of time training someone else.
Sorry to hear about your guys kirock. When you spend 8+ hours a day with the same people for 4 years they become family, eh? Although, you probably don't see your family even that much, eh?
