Anyone play this? What are your thoughts on it if you do?
Also, if you have tried it but didn't like it, what was so bad about it for you?

If you don't play this game, I strongly recommend it.
It's like a regular FPS, quite similar to CS:S, only all weapons and equipment are fully customisable, and you don't die for the entire round. (Well I've only played TDM and DM modes.
There is different stocks, barrels, scopes for your weapons. Even different guns to put all that stuff on to. Like either an SMG or an Assault Rifle.
Then there is different body armour you can get, different helmets etc.
All customisable to cater to your own play style.
There is also different camos that you can get, but they don't exactly change anything other than how the item or character looks.

When you level up you get a free package which contains random items that you can use for a certain number of days.
You can buy items for either 1 day, 7 days or permanently. Which is cool because if you're not sure if you will like it, you can pay the cheaper price to try it for a day and then buy it permanently or for a week if you do like it.
You get XP and Gold from playing matches, so basically you have to keep playing to get better items if you want them.

The best part about it all though, is that it's free.
So you can at least try it out for a day or so before completely hating it and thinking you wasted your money.
It's still in Beta stages so there is a few bugs here and there, but like I say, it's really fun and is at least worth a try.

EDIT: I forgot to say that there is different modes, with different objectives. KOTH, TDM, DM, And a new thing they added called Netwar.
I have only played the 2 Deathmatch modes though, so I couldn't really tell you about the other modes they have.

I think the most in a server is 16 players, so the servers will never be too swamped.

There is also a function like a radar called RV. When you press V you have a bar that runs down and you can look around and see all of your enemies wearabouts, showing you where to position yourself basically. If used correctly, it can be used to ambush unsuspecting enemies with a grenade. There is no attacking while using it though, so you have to be cautious of running into enemies with it turned on.

There is also depots where you can regain your health or ammo, buy a rocket launcher or flamethrower, and even get something called a hardsuit, which is like a big robot that you walk around in and shoot at people.
You can buy all that with points that you gain from killing people.

Anyway, like I said, give it a try, I loved it when I did.

the bad
-its basicly COd
-i got board after about 2 hours
-people dont play objectives, i hate pretty much everyone from the COD generation of FPSs
-shit maps
-every gun that isnt an smg or AR is usless and you are bad for using them, seriously if you want a game where laying down fire with a lmg or picking people off with a sniper this isnt for you

the good
-holding objectives is more involved than stand near computer to capture it, you have to play a simple little mini game that makes for some pretty tense gameplay
-its free, fuck you go try it
-the RV? (5 seconds of wallhacks, that you cant do anything but look around in, that you can use ever 30secs or so)
-you can get in a mech and rape shit (awsome)
-no pay to win and as far as i could tell the basic AR you get free is just as good as anything else its all just different style things

if anyone cares 40 min review of basicly everything about the game

Yeah why not.

I mean it is on steam now, I'm still not sure whether to stick with the regular version or download it on steam.

You'll come to realize soon like any other perfect world game the only way to acquire true skill is to invest a ton of cash to acquire virtual goods.

All perfect world games turn out this way.

Yeah I know that, it's pretty stupid.
Like on Star Trek Online, all the amazingly awesome ships..you have to pay for.
