Yeah, I just got my second r9 290x, thinking about getting a third. It's the only one out there that miners aren't buying that is very powerful because it's expensive, but if I ran my rig for Litecoin mining only I'd make half my money back in Litecoin if it stay around $30 in one month, a little bit more than that. I could easily be making $600 a month on 2 290x's. But I'm gaming too so...

Biop constantly would criticize Bitcoin whenever I mentioned it while playing cs, and I tried explaining to him how it was cheaper and you didn't have to pay all the fees, and he still just constantly stated, I just don't get it. Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is the best way I can explain the benefits of Bitcoin, just scroll down a little: http://bitcoinowl.com/why-you-cant-run-bitcoin-apps-your-iphone

yeah being able to use bitcoins as actual currency would be great, the problem is it's being too widely abused as a get-rich-quick or money laundering scheme, and the fees charged by exchanges are not so great. the thing i like about litecoin is transaction confirmation is a lot quicker so it can more reasonably be used as cash. cryptocurrency is just ahead of its time, i think it's still waiting on quantum networks for truly instant transactions to be viable on a p2p protocol

https://coinkite.com/ Bitcoin credit and debit cards directly linked to your wallet in the works. Another company had tried this before but they went through Visa and Mastercard who led them along and shut them down at a crucial point which made the whole company fail. These guys look like they have a work around. It also allows for Litecoins and I'm sure will support other cryptocurrencies in the future.

$572, it's going to fluctuate up and down. I've been trying to tell people this. China overpassed the U.S. and every other major exchanges for Bitcoin purchases. So when they tried to make it illegal it had a significant effect. But while it's price dropped, that hasn't stopped others from accepting it and adopting it for trade. Whether Bitcoin drops to 1 penny or rises to $10,000, the value isn't what price it's being traded at. You'll see :)

I just purchased one of coinkite's Bitcoin/Litecoin debit card/credit card makers for like $750. The next best thing to opening your own exchange. I'm glad I'm in an open carry state because if I need to meet people places to load their cards with Bitcoins and Litecoins, I'll be a target for sure. Can't wait. I'll send them first class mail to you canucks if you want! (probably won't be cost efficient)
