Thinking of using my gaming rig that i have not used since last Oct or something like that for mining most-likely litecoin (have 2 gtx 560s i think), but i have never done it. Anyone point me in the right direction that way i don't walk into a scam? I remember back in the early 2000s doing something like this for DNA or cancer research but that was forever ago.

for Litecoin you need:
1) Litecoin wallet
2) account at a mining pool (I use http://pool-x.eu)
3) cudaminer application
for my GTX 460 I just set up the following batch scripts:
1) this points to the pool's stratum server, which is the best way to pull work
2) this launches the miner app, for 560s you would probably get good performance keeping the settings the same
for two cards to run you'll need to launch two instances of the app with two scripts, the first one will have uname.1 and the second will have uname.2, correlating to the GPUs, but there should be info on that on the pool site.
