If you were waiting for the round to finish and forced to sit thru his weapon saving for like 30sec-minute every round, or his CT favoritism based on maps for advantages and you auto assign like a good samaritan.
Banning for lack of cooperation would make us lose a lot of players, yes. But having to deal with his shit when he's on makes u lose players as well.
You can't win regardless, I'm just speaking my mind. That weapon drop addon would be useful tho :)

I'll admit, Rabies is a stats whore and always chooses the favored side on maps. I've seen that quite often from him, along with his delaying the whole team to save his weapons... I only spoke out against the ban he got for hacking, otherwise I pretty much agree with the rest

TD used to enforce players having to complete objectives, and didn't allow for spawn camping. However that doesn't seem to be enforced anymore. If an admin can ban, then they can slap/slay/burn for something like not following objectives? cock does bring up a valid point: if admins are tired of repeating the same shit over and over to Rabies, then a ban for those reasons is something else!! Ultimately this is a decision for admins, I'm just saying my opinion :P

Does someone wanna make a quick vid of what you thought to be suspicious? I can't run source on my laptop and I'd rather not wait at least another 4 months to see it as I'm kinda curious right now as to what seemed suspicious to you guys. As for the whole gameplay style...I like to think it's not as bad as it used to be. I also think your guy's opinion of how much I join CT and save my gun is a little overblown. It's called confirmation bias. While I can't really defend how often I actually do save my gun, if you look at my stats for how much time I spend on CT vs T, the difference isn't that significant. A good majority of the time I will actually hit auto-join (believe it or not). Sometimes I actually do just wanna play CT and I have that right. Often times what ends up happening as well on some maps is I get team balanced 3 or 4 times per map which is kinda annoying. As for saving my gun, I am always trying to win the round. I'll give an example as being as T. Sometimes the odds are stacked way against you though and you need to have something go your way to improve your odds. For example, I've clutched many 1vsX where X > 7 before not because I have godlike aim but because I wait in a position that is to my advantage to try to easily kill others without taking damage. While watching me at this point (where it's like a 1vs7) may look like I'm just trying to save my gun, I'm actually trying to wait for other players to push against me to reduce the number of players I have to kill. Once I can get it down to like a 1vs3 or 1vs4, I can actually try to plant the bomb. I'm basically trying to do this everytime in this situation, and if not enough players push me, then I just end up saving my gun (which I know pisses everyone off). It's an "unfortunate" carry-over from my past competitive play experience. My brain just can't really force myself to go for objectives when I know there is virtually zero chance of winning cause I would consider it a stupid thing to do. But yeah that's an issue for another day and one you won't have to deal with for a while. Again, if you deem me innocent I would like to be unbanned by the time August comes around =p (though I'd like to see a vid before then).

Rabies, it's obvious that you play tthat way mostly due to competitive play. When you have 24 people dead and waiting on you to die though, it can be a long wait if they have to wait on you almost every round :P I haven't seen you on the server in a while, but when I used to see you around, it was pretty bad how you loved CT only and did the gun saving crap every time. As you say you could have improved, but I personally can't say much about it as I haven't seen you on the server in some time. You are a stats whore rabies! Back then, you used to /rank EVERY time you died :P

I'm not going to say that you have to play on eggshells every time, but play by the rules. if you have time to run in there and defuse (since apparently you are mostly CT) then attempt it.
A player at your skill level has no excuse to avoid doing objectives. Saving your gun? really? when you are 15-2 and you can't afford a new one there's something wrong.

You were never proven to be cheater. Most of us just feel you need to realize the difference between League play and Pub play. Don't be a derp and you won't get banned.

I used to play competitively too and the only reason to run from the objective to save a gun was in order to HELP your team in the next round. From what little I recall of your play philosophy, you are more concerned about saving a gun for your own stat gain rather than for helping your team survive the next round. Competition or pub; doesn't matter, there's no way to justify being a selfish player in a round-based TEAM game.

the funny thing is, sometimes someone would save an AWP they managed to grab and on the new round start immediately give it to the best AWPer on the team if they can't afford it. just goes to show you how selfless the process is, which makes using it to justify a selfish play style even more weak.

That's a little harsh dont you think? As I said before if the bomb is planted and I have to kill 7+ people in the span of 30 or seconds, it's just extremely unrealistic most of the time. The carry over from competitive play I was talking about has more to do with me trying to improve my odds of winning. The side-effect of this is me appearing like I'm just trying to save my gun, and a lot of the time I do just end up saving my gun because I didn't feel I would have a high chance of failing. Determining my chance of being able to win a round is obviously very subjective. I have been in scenarios where there was over a minute left, and was in say a 1vs5. I wait for a guy to push to help improve my odds of winning and sometimes this can take another 10-15 seconds (which for people watching can seem like an eternity since I'm basically not moving). In my mind, I still have a decent chance of winning that round. But sometimes I've had admins not let me play it out and just slay me before letting me even try. I get pissed when that happens though they don't happen often. As I said before, I never start off trying to purposely save my gun NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT MAY LOOK LIKE THAT. There does usually come a point in the round where I say to myself, there's no way I have enough time to win so the best course of action would be to save my gun. Someone said I'm "more concerned about saving a gun for your own stat gain rather than for helping your team survive the next round." This is completely false. I am helping my team survive the next round by having a better gun rather than not being able to buy an m4 or ak because I died trying to clutch in a situation I likely would not win.

I consider myself more of a numbers guy than a stat whore. I enjoy looking at stats whether its CS, another game, or my favourite sport, baseball which is just littered with tons of statistics.

One other thing I'd like to note is that if I had a better computer my playstyle would likely change. When several people appear on the screen, my FPS drops significantly (below 30 fps) which often makes it hard to aim properly. This is one of the reasons (among many others) that I let others rush first or why I wait for others to come to me rather than me come to them. I don't care if you think I'm just making up excuses for my actions, but I've played long enough to understand what I am and am not capable of.

Nevertheless, it's not my intent to ruin the experience for others, so if the admins deem me to be ruining it for too many others, as they have in the past, they can take the proper action (i.e. a temp ban). Now how about that vid?

I don't see an issue here. Rabies is BY FAR, not the only player to keep us all waiting, saving weapons, stacking certain team sides on certain maps (cough cough ct on inferno, as an example to all the people I speak of), and I don't see a gyna-bleeding thread for each of them - so I don't see the point here. I don't think he hacks (from this demo), but I still think there's tons of bullshit he pulls, but hey, if I can't prove it, I'll just stick to talking shit to myself and play on.

A lot of people play with a 'competitive' style on this server, so admins are in place to enforce OUR server rules. Do so, and we won't have any problems.
