The laptop got shipped out in Vancouver at 7:00 last night, and it got here in Toronto 8:22 morning, crazy fast shipping.

The first time turning on the system, it fucking freezes! don't know why but I expected that to happen lol, had to do a hard restart, and everything went smoothly after.

Took almost 2 hour creating the recovery disc, 6 DVD in total. lot of Bloatware that came with the pre-install Windows 7 home, it got 71 processes running at startup, use up like 2GB of memory, but whatever I got 6GB in system, I'll be good for now, came with DDR3 1066 but Asus been shipping the laptop out with DDR3 1333 so FREE $100 upgrade :D

I didn't have much time playing around with it yet, mainly doing LOTS of backup and transfer lol, only manage to play a few round of CS with 1920x1080 rez and everything high, so far so good, the graphic card temp was around 85c during gaming. idl at like 55c.

Need to get some high requirement games and do some real test on this lappy.

Love the illuminate keyboard :D

$1473.99 + 5% tax, saved $110 if I were going to get one in Ontario.

and my previous laptop warranty is going to cover $750 so yea I am happy :D

That's arright, not too shabby. Glad you got a higher-end video cardl. Now just get a good cooling pad (with fans, not that "chill-mat" garbage) to make that bitch last, vid card temps are through the roof son!

Yea I couldn't make up my mind on which to get, took me a few weeks to decide, the N61jq or this G51jx, the N61jq come with same cpu as g51jxthe i7 1.6Ghz, ATI HD5730M, 4Gb of ddr3, 1 usb 3.0 port, multi-touch pad, crappier screen, no backlit keyboard, cost $300 less.

For the spec on the G51jx it was worth the extra $300 I guess, better ram, screen, graphic card, backpack, mouse and the illuminate keyboard.

but yes gonna look for a nice laptop cooling pad to cool this baby down. :D
