Well no, what the beginning of the thread was about is that the format for an application is:
Game Handle(s):
SteamID:
Previous Clan/Community affiliations:
Real First Name:
Age:
Location:
Which DARKLY TF2 servers do you play on:
Why do you want to be a DARKLY TF2 Admin:

YES/NO Questions:

Do you have a minimum of 1 month on the server with at least 50 hours of play?
Are you active on the Community Forums?
Do you have a working mic?
Are you in good standing with the Community?
Are you at least 18 years of age?

Seeing as age is already addressed at the top, I was stating that the bottom question isn't really needed.


Then 47 said it was because so people know it's a requirement.
& I said if it is that i feel it should be under

In the stickied formatting post.

Edit: I'm not saying you have to go and change it because obviously, it's worked. I'm just stating my opinion.

In regards to this matter:

We don't necessarily use the 18+ 'requirement' as a definitive requirement for admins.

We like to think that 18+ individuals exhibit an acceptable level of maturity to handle admining situations properly.

Of course age is just a number and there have been plenty of 18+ tards who lose admin for being irresponsible. On the flip side there are kids under 18 who are mature and can probably admin just fine.

The main requirements that we FOR SURE take into consideration is how active they are on the forums and where they stand within the community (is it ur first post, how many members actually know of you, are you generally liked/disliked, how active are you on forums/server/mumble, etc)

Age is easily looked over is certain cases, but again we typically want 'mature' admins and hence have the "are you 18" question in our application.

Hope that is easy enough to understand.

It's understood fine, I was just making a statement about the age being referred to twice in the same app/post. I apologized if I pissed anyone off on my first day, haha.

Uhhh syn, now that you made sense of your beef, with an example to clarify. I agree.

Could be reworded to something like:

"Are you 18 years of age? If not, post your age:"

Or even removing the bottom question. If someone tells me their age I can easily determine for myself if they're 18+ or not.
