I can't really tell you, since I have been using laser mouse since EVER~ I prefer laser mouse because it can be used on any type of surface.

Well, instead of getting angry you could use your brain. At least that's how I get through most of my days. I would like to think most desk tops are made of either a veneered wood, glass or some type of cheap, Ikea-like acryllic - all of which have far less friction than a mouse pad (any mouse pad). It's really quite simple.

So I would advise you to think a little bit, instead of replying to my posts with your "I know you are, but what am I?!" type nonsense.

don't clean your mousepad. the dirt increases it's friction which makes the mousepad better.

Used to have a goliathus omega. You can clean it three ways:

1) Gently wipe with a damp cloth (plain old water)
2) Gently wipe with a damp cloth (2 parts rubbing alcohol, 10 parts water)
3) Put in washing machine on Delicate (cold water)

1) is good for getting rid of dirt, sweat
2) is good for getting out most tougher stains
3) is overkill


BOT Snake Optical tend to be the more popular choice for fps, something about the sensor being more accurate? I know that the most popular fps mice tend to be optical. Can't recall any articles off the top of my head, but you can google around.

Well I have had the same mouse pad for like 10 years and have never had to really clean it. If you spilled something on it I guess you would just have to live with it.
