Any plans to Up the Player Cap?

just wondering if there's any plans to increase the player cap. 24 is good but i gotta admit I miss the 32 man pub days.

I see a lot of 24 man servers though, do the spawns on maps just not support it or were the 24 man servers a test to see whether or not GO is worth investing into? (Talking mostly about the competitive server by-the-way.)

We'll up it when Valve actually allows it. Right now they're calling it "a bug". Stupid lobby garbage is likely to blame. You can kind of go to 26 or 27, but often times those extra players cannot enter the server.

As soon as Valve supports more players, we're going 32. At the moment it is out of our hands.

Last I checked on the Valve forums they are looking and planning to up the cap and have said that it should have support already for 32 but, as SJ has stated, claim there is a bug at the moment.

Cool, i kind of figured there was reason for why we didn't have it and the lack of abundance of 32 man servers just wanted to ask the question to be sure.

The beta was supposed to have cap bumped to 30 slots after the May 21st update, and we don't even have that with full release :disapprove:

They were supposed to have up to 64 slots on release day. NOPE!

Pretty much this, besides the whole slot kerfuffle the game is very solid and fun.

i dont mean if ishould buy the game, i already bought two copies for me and a friend. i meant if TD was testing the waters before expanding to GO permentantly with servers - hence the 24 player cap. but i see its due to GO limitations not anything TD related

Regular fun server, as many as possible without it stressing the server and causing lag
