Another achievement! :D

So I have an HP DV9774CA (you can look up specs yourself) and it's got two hard drives. I've taken one hard drive (previously unused space anyway) and turned it into my Macbook Pro :D

I got a Belkin Expresscard 3/4 card and now I have wifi! :D

So the built-in bluetooth, BD/DVD-Rom, HP Webcam, Fingerprint scanner (no software for it yet though, haven't even looked), and touchpad (minus the Mac-like two/three/four-finger usage) work perfect!

Big up!

Nice one shotgun.

Interesting idea though Buckshot. I've got an earlier version of that line of notebooks. I've been trying to think of something to do with it since I never got around to purging the virus that is Vista.

Oh, I purged the pre-installed Vista Home Premium 64-bit as soon as I got a reliable source for Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Now I dual boot (two seperate hard drives) Win 7 Ult. 64-bit and OSX 10.5.7 (last version before Snow Leopard).

EDIT: UPDATE!!!

If you've ever owned an HP, you know it has touch sensitive buttons at the very top (above the F-keys). Well, all the normal functions (such as brightness control, sound/mute, media buttons etc) - WORK AS NORMAL IN OSX !!! :D hahahaa SICK!

Is this laptop a special case? or do most new pc's support osx?
[/quote1271999952]

No non-Apple pc/laptop supports it. There's "fixed" versions of OSX out there that'll let you install the OSX itself, but you still have to figure shit out to make all the features work (i.e. the wifi, bluetooth, webcam, USB @ high-speed 480MB/S versus full-speed 12MB/s, touchpad mechanics, etc etc).

It's really nice once the features of your laptop become available in the OSX. It's like a brand new laptop, running 10x better :D

So what does most MAC user do with their MAC beside web browsing? lol ...
[/quote1272129305]

Everything you do on a pc, I and others do on MAC's. It's the same shit, just better design and architecture.

some people are too sutbborn to use OSX. i know a guy that bought a macbook pro then wiped OS X off it and put XP on.
/facepalm.

Macs also run Adobe programs in a more suitable manner for design. Adobe + Apple are tite yo.

pffff lol I would buy a MAC but can't afford, and I can't let my HP go unused, it's got too good hardware to render useless...

@ Hinouchi, yes, I do gaming on windows RIGHT NOW - that will change shortly as Steam is becoming available for OSX as well it's re-releasing all games for OSX. From now on, all new games will be simaultaneously released for both operating systems and if I (for example) play L4D2 on mac and you play it on PC, we can still play together - WICKED feature.

There's couple of games that allow both Mac and PC user to play together, StarCraft/Warcraft 3 and Medal of Honor oh and I think the StarCraft 2 will works too, no more BARRIER! all gamers unite. XD
