Better than location based apps as no GPS is involved (less battery use).

Glocky,(actually, Everybody) you should check out Tasker. One of the greatest apps because it lets you set up triggers with simple AND/IF parameters and really maximizes the functionality of your phone and automates many other features.

You just Plugged in headphones? Music app will open automatically.
Its past Midnight? Tasker will silence your phone for you until morning
You plugged your phone in? It'll turn on Wifi for you. (because i only charge it at home)

Being able to download the .APKs without having to jailbreak or Root the phone is a great asset, but for apps as useful as tasker im fine with giving them some money, i think it was about $6 before i bought it on sale.

Oh, and you guys should download GetJar, its an app market that mostly deals with apps that are free or on sale, so i like to find the app on Android Market, then check for it on GetJar, which shows you how marked down the price is.


And dont worry mandy! iOS 5 is only a few steps away from being an android! just a few more years...

Looks good, but I will wait for a sale/free as the extra functionality is similar to another app I had, but didn't use much as it seemed overkill.
Tasker seems simpler than that app (I think it was called Settings Profile or something weak like that), so maybe the state sensing stuff will be worthwhile.
As it stands, I don't 'need' it enough to pay $6 haha, but it certainly looks good.

I installed ForumRunner for iOS and Android today, but it seems to have issues with the same permission errors. It's that damned user database merge.

I just got AirDroid a couple days ago. Basically lets you use your computer to send messages, modify settings, install/uninstall apps, etc.
