Air Canada - Strike Mar 12

4 different classifications, 4 different types of unions.

wut? There wouldn't be a point to a union then, union is to protect the employees FROM the employers.
I've learned a little something being down here in the states, union or not, there's no sure-fire way to protect anyone. However, I'm a little against unions in this day and age, mostly because their fees and such are what's making their dismal pay slips even smaller.

wut? This has nothing to do with what's going on.
Yes it does, this problem with the employees goes back to the employers, its their job, not a union or third party to work on these issues and improve conditions. If its this terrible, and previous strikes yeilded nothing, then drastic, affirmative action is necessary.

wut? You referring to ticket prices and non-related topics?
Re-read that part again.

wut? Immigrants and overseas manufacturing is causing unemployment to canadian citizens.
And you know what's not going to fix it? Crying.

wut? If you mean by "exhausting their resources", putting millions of dollars into their own wallets as bonuses and shares, then yea, they aren't too bright.

Re-read one of the points above. Everyone should leave and find employment elsewhere or figure out a way to fix this and fix it quickly. I'd still prefer the old-way of lynching.

Also if you're going to quote everything I say, please make it easier to reply, its a fuck annoyance trying to type all the quotes and make them work. >_<

Sigh, you guys can't see through company greed because it's being masked by a corrupt media and government.

We have the same equal labour right as all people, you just don't see small companies on the news because they have 100 or so employees.

I'm done debating on what's "right".

Just don't let me know what flight you're on when you DO fly Air Canada

I hate politics. I don't watch the media, I'd rather see situations close at hand. Unfortunately, any visits to Toronto and the east of Canada are suspended indefinitely (Although I get the feeling some on here want me to go over there...adam).

Small companies are that, insignificant, like a breadcrumb found an an obese American man's stomach crease.

There's what's morally right, then what's right for business. However, in this situation, the right thing for both ends of the stick are on the same plate with a side of gravy. For better working conditions, pay, service, etc, the business will need a serious change, be taken over by the government, or simply be, shut down. However I do share the same view on the corporates refusing to stop pocketing so much into their own wallets and instead improve their investments. Obviously they don't care. Lets put Steve in charge of AIR and come back in lets say....6 months? XD

Do tell, any attempts to crash my flight will be frowned upon, after I pick the meat from your bones.

u seen the price of milk these days? geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez

Typical corporate and hourly bullshit. Just get rid of them.

lol, jakk, what would you think if i said:

Here's $100 for you 8-hours day work (on salary, not hourly) then asked you to stay later after those 8 hours cause of repairs, extra projects, or weather.
Your 8 hours turns into 16. You get paid for 8. You just volunteered for 8 hours and helped out the company without reward, grats man.

These derps are too stupid to realize they are destroying their company and means of employment. Good luck getting a better job with your unskilled ass.

Unskilled? I'd like to see you push, maintain, or service an aircraft.... oh wait, what do you do again? suck the man's dick, much skill there. The media doesn't share the "bad" things about the company, blinded to most or all people not in the airline business. This "wildcat" strike can happen again, and was minimal to what a real strike would be. What's destroying this company is greed from the employer, instead of feeding the mouths that actually make it happen, or the passengers needs, they stuff it into their own pockets then run to the government to hide. Passengers are well aware of the labour dispute, yet they still try and fly AC, then cry when shit like this happens.

I got there right after that happened, she hit him then he got surrounded by our members, but escorted out by police. He spat on 2 people.

Again, just close down, this isn't going to get solved, you've had numerous opportunities.

Numerous? We had one offer given to us from the company. Fuck off.
