Looking to build a new computer.

Just ballparking but I know that i7 processor draws up to 200W under load (Ivy Bridge is hungry) and the GPU will draw up to 200W or more so that brings you already to 400W... probably won't run into problems but obviously people like excalibur and myself go for a bit of extra futureproofing so...

    problem: razer naga

isn't the naga the MMO mouse with the bajillion buttons? The DPI button should be a firmware feature which means you should be able to exit the software and still have it work but the software-dependent buttons won't work. Bleh. I f'n hate mouse software

Selling/Price Check on my gaming Rig.

Yea I fucked up on that, E8600s are going for $75 nowadays now that I recall seeing a few being sold. Hmmm. I might just want to buy that chip to replace my E7400 since it has twice the cache size. I'm holding onto my 775 board until I get through school with a setup in mind to give it an...

Selling/Price Check on my gaming Rig.

E8400... up to $150 this might as well be a freebie Maybe $100 $50 $50 maybe So in total that rig's only worth $350, not including the value of the case and PSU, which isn't really adding a whole lot. You might as well keep the case and just sell the components off individually to get...

    Windows 8?

Micro$hit is digging their grave with their teeth. Why the fuck would they think anyone wants a phone UI on a desktop? They're either overshooting and expecting everyone to trade mouse + keyboard in for touch peripherals or just plain retarded up in the HQ.

Looking to build a new computer.

Yeh it was an epic game. The game studio that made the game recently made a vid announcing that instead of making another S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game they're going to be attempting a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-style FPS MMO. Apparently they already have the funding for it so I guess it's just a matter of time...

Looking to build a new computer.

I have a 460 (that I don't use anymore :errf:) and it OCs quite well. I remember S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat (a game that is used a lot for GFX benchmarking) wouldn't run very well at max settings and 1080 resolution but after ramping up the card a bit it worked beautifully. DirectCU cards...

    Valve doing Linux

the linux bandwagon is picking up steam. in the past few years a number of hardware vendors have jumped on board and started offering native drivers and in some markets it's not uncommon to buy a new laptop and have it come preloaded with a linux distro instead of Windows. I read an article...

    Bans on nudity

The onus of enforcing community standards should fall as heavily on the regulars as it does on the admins. Like the saying goes you're either part of the problem or part of the solution. I miss the days when the MOTD would greet you upon joining the server, it kept things pretty clear.
