    GTA V

I remember when this game was geared toward yuppies who wanted to be virtual gangbangers, now it's for gangbangers who want to be virtual yuppies. GTA2 was best

    Soldier Front 2

no interest at all? It's pretty damn good for a F2P game, worth trying if you ever thought CS was gud timez

    YOu get rained out?

Crazy weather last night, my place lost power but looks like it was a lot worse in some places across the city. People being evac'd from GO trains on life rafts, Rogers cell network down, cars abandoned on DVP, etc.

National Security Agency has backdoor access to all Windows software since the release of Windows 95

No, it's just the same stuff rehashed and with some text bolded. It still doesn't explain how an encryption key that's not even tied to authenticating users (on a single-user OS, no less) would come anywhere near constituting a backdoor of any kind. At best, it could come in handy encrypting...

    Soldier Front 2

Ok I just been playing this F2P FPS, it's pretty sweet. Very CS feel to it, controls and movement so similar to CS but the maps are fresh and there are some cool ones.

National Security Agency has backdoor access to all Windows software since the release of Windows 95

The article is confusing then because advapi32.dll is advapi.dll. Just like shell32.dll is shell.dll, same functionality and name but it got the 32 suffix so people knew that it was 32-bit when Windows became a mix of 16/32-bit. Now that Windows is a mix of 32/64-bit, those 32-bit libraries...

I was talking to Goldfinger on the CS:GO server and thought I should post this: Quantum Computing

I can already smell the catch-22 of needing a quantum processor just to debug code for a quantum processor

    Parking downtown for 48 hours

Nah probably not, I mean it's not like Union Station is the busiest transport hub in the country or anything. If you want to park at Bloor the Manulife Centre would be a better spot and you can just cross the street to hop on a subway that'll take you right to Union, no fuss. Manulife does...

I started mining some LTC, seems to be going pretty smoothly on my GPU. It hit a peak hash rate of 155kh/s so far, which is not bad considering how old the GTX460 is, but it's also WC and OC'd to the tits which made a 40kh/s difference over stock speed. Overall, progress is slow but I guess it...

I was talking to Goldfinger on the CS:GO server and thought I should post this: Quantum Computing

this reminds me of the plot to Jormungand. Whomever has a quantum computer... it will get out into the mainstream sooner or later by open source or industrial espionage. I really hope it is coming within the next decade, we've only got 15 more years before Ghost In The Shell is supposed to be...

    Need a Decent/Good Gaming Rig

Dell has exited the desktop market AFAIK but they own Alienware. Definitely build your own PC. I mean you have all us helpful knerds to audit your selection to make sure it's all compatible before you buy it and from there on out it's just plugging stuff into slots. Be diplomatic if you're...
